Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
Not during the race but as a penalty for stewards to give out instead of just warming 2, 5, 20 place and DQ
Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
Im honestly in favor of the pass through. Lets them think "Man I really screwed up." and it makes them work their way back through the field.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
R.e. SI's and penalties: there hasn't been a need for them in Friday races in a very long time. Unless one was filed for Wingnut last week, then there hasn't been a single SI since the 2002 IROC Series that I co-hosted with Mark.
I don't know why, as many of the same people race this that race Spec Cup, but at least on Friday they tend to behave a bit better than usual.

I wasn't really meaning for it to be these races
But other TORA races
Didn't even realize that this was in the ute thread

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
Which I find very odd considering that it is realtivley the same group of people on both friday and wednesday...you would think same people equals same problems...or maybe thats just my Nascar league experieance talking where ive done my fair share of paying someone out.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
While I rarely have to deal with that sort of thing, I did set a TORA precedent in Spec Miata... threw a safety car period to put an offender to the rear of the field after he had wrecked at least five cars. When he didn't comply, I red flagged the race, and had everyone back out, kicked the guy, then resumed the race for the final few laps.
Old fashioned short track rules can be very effective.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I remember you telling me about that when I was a Rookie at TORA. (Still sorta am considering that it hasn't been a full year yet, at least I don't think). It was either then or during my DTM League I cant remember.
I honestly had problems with drivers in both seasons of my DTM. Mikey can contest that one driver got ticked after I took the win away from him for jumping 2 restarts and dumping Mikey in turn 17 at Sebring for the win. And in Season 1 there was one driver who would intentional cause a caution just so he could get back on the lead lap. I stoped giving him the lucky dog after that. then kicked him and his two friends at the end of the season.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I sent HCR Wizard a tune for the Ute to get another opinion on the series. Then invited him for a few laps at a few track.
His response afterwards: "This will make a spectacular series, much looking forward to it"

Me and Erebus ran a couple laps at Iberian Mini. The cars aren't built "Size Wise" for the track but I think it would be a fun track for an exhibition race.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
^ You should try Iberian Full Reverse. It's almost too tight for them, but it was the same for the Mustangs, and they put on a hell of a race there.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I'll let that sit this week, and post it up on Friday after the NAFFCar Finale to build interest for the next series. I'll just leave the code here so I know where to find it...

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I'm going to post this up in the Staff section, along with the build and schedule, to see what they have to say about the whole idea.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I'm thinking of reverting away from team points and dropped rounds for this one. Its single make and five rounds, so no need to complicate things.
Thoughts?
