TCR Ute Pro Cup
I am thinking about a possible follow up to NAFFCar: Utes.
Basically the El Camino, with all possible upgrades to suspension/platform, trans/drivetrain, tires/width. lightest wheels, Forza aero f/r, and 450 (or possibly 500) HP max.
Basically, Spec Car on steroids.
Thoughts?

Sorry, I wish there was a Ford Ranchero Cobrajet in the game, as I had a 1972. Was a sweet ride until the engine spilled its guts cross half a mile of Nordhoff Street while I was street racing it.

On that note, I know what I will be doing while offline this evening... try a few different builds and see what is possible.

Hard to put a blue oval across a bowtie grille, but sure have at it.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I found something that actually feels like there are rules: 520PI, 3200 Lbs, and 450 HP.
Now, I need someone to set up a private race lobby, with a 450HP max, and see if a stock El Camino will fit, as it has 450 HP in stock form. If not, I may go to 500 HP and 3100 Lbs.

Yes, race tires. No, not in the garage yet. Since it has a stock engine, I just need to find out if a stock 450HOP engine can get into a lobby with 450 max HP. And I am not on XBL to do it myself.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
do you know what upgrades you have?
and you should use like street or sport tyres, more realistic

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I tried a few builds on a few tracks, with and without TCS, and found this to be the most fun way to go:
545 PI
499HP
3100 Lbs
Forza Aero F/R
Race Rollcage mandatory
Naturally Aspirated ONLY
NO TCS
Other than that, it is an Open Build. Whatever wheel rims, rim size, tire width, etc.
Track List
Maple Full Reverse (2x20-25 minute races)
Mazda Laguna Seca (2x20-25 minute races)
Mugello Club (3x15-18 minute races)
Iberian Full Reverse (3x15-18 minute races
Old La Sarthe (1x60 minute championship race)
If there are six rounds, one round will be 2 races at Silverstone International.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
love the build, but should ban race slicks and drop the PI,
too much grip, too easy to drive
also, what about a 30 lap race at sunset speedway, would be good fun,

I live for easy to drive. If its to easy to drive then drive it like you stole it.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
The reason for race tires is easier to drive, especially for those that shy away from 500HP Muscle Cars.
And no ovals, "too American", and I am going for an Aussie feel.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
This is the first of what I think should be called "Pro Cup Series": basically a Spec Cup without a set build.
Another planned is MX5, possibly C4 Corvette or 99 Viper.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I tested a few potential Pro Cup builds, remembering to try diversity to keep TORA Staff and racers happy. Cars to expect:
1) Utes
2) Skyline
3) Renault Twingo
4) either MX5 or Ford Sierra

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I was playing with Sierra builds last night, and no matter what HP or weight, it is a great car to drive.
