Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I'm hoping to get some laps in after work tonight. Looks like my focus should be "taming the arse end", as it seems Paul was having the same issues I have struggled with.
And the tail happy tune in the garage is the direct result of dealing with turn in issues. Seems that at Laguna Seca, this car wants to fight you at one end or the other.

I told you that PG Scheme would look sick on a car Paul.

I'll send you the tune I sent to Windcharger if you want. It's a little tail happy, but only if you floor it in the turns.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
Ill send mine over too if you want,i started again with it,but if I send it ya, you can try to resolve the turn in issues that I think it could possibly still have! Im thinking I might ask mikey for his tune cos he seems to be able to make the car turn in better, whereas I seem to be able to make the arse end stable! maybe a mix of the two might be a winner! (in theory)lol

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
Thanks for the tunes guys, running low 37s but I should be able to get down to 36s by Friday.
I think the main challenge will be the "Super Pole" format and only having one shot at a quick clean lap.

Super Pole format is tough... weeds out those that tend to be overagressive with cutting.

^ Forgot the Ace in the hole... PLOW Motorsports with tubbi and PLOW Run Wide. I have never been in the same lobby as Run Wide in TORA, just in User Created A Class, but I can tell you he is legendary quick.
The battle for race wins could be very interesting.

I only remember Run Wide from GT Season 8 Videos on YouTube where he dominated in the Lotus Evora. (That car was way too overpowered for Production GT.)

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I think maybe I should have allowed TCS, as that may be scaring off some potential entries.
I wish there was an option of "One Assist", in which you could pick the assist you want, but limited to just one. I'd like to make people pick between "Braking Line" and TCS in the race lobby.
Maybe what I could have done was a poll asking which one of the two should be allowed?
On another note, the second installment of Pro Cup, Nissan Skyline (R33 I think) will most likely be more popular.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
TASCAR is no TCS and look at the numbers it has, Id keep it the way it is Mikey maybe some drivers just cant make Fridays anymore Â
Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
There is one problem with that theory Mikey.
I HAVE to have the Braking line or I wont know where to slow down. Im not good with braking markers and I prefer having the braking line over TCS.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I have a theory as to why the low numbers mikey! only speaking from the brit side of course! weve had a rare occurrence over here,i think you call it THE SUN!! actually being visible and feeling something called...warmth emanating from it!! this tends to make most brits strip down to vests and drink...lots of beer! lol. If the weather gets back to normal expect numbers to go up methinks! Good racing tonight though lads! just wish I could stop dropping the ball when somebody comes up behind me! Mad dog knew all he had to do was wait for me to balls up im so consistant at it! Not that he wouldn't have got past me anyway but that's not the point!lol

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
There's a couple entire teams that ran Sports Classics and NAFFCar that have shied away from the Utes. I'm pretty sure its just not their thing.
I had a feeling that was a possibility, as heavy high HP muscle is not everyone's cup of tea, but went with it anyway to keep some variety in the choices at TORA.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
Jeez, I could just barely touch the 170 mph with minimum downforce (and adjustable gearing). I found though that I was getting better laptimes when I had more downforce, but a lower top end (~168 mph)

I think I hit 166, but that was with my Seca tune and aero all the way down.

I'd better get to practicing at Mugello. I've been away at work from 7am to 12-1:30am all week, so my track time has gone from "limited" to "non existent" this week.

I like Maple. I've had some great races there in the past. The curbs are tough, keeps people from grass braking and the like.
