Re: TCR ideas
Yeah well most likely. It's a real pain when I want to race but I can't. I have my old Xbox at my dads but it's pretty broken.

I received zero response about the idea of hosting the club racing here on our Ax4x forums... I know that I'd have a hard time making any events myself no matter what day, but after some thought, I think Thursday would be best, as BBC's Top Gear is on Mondays at the time we were thinking. If there is one TV program that could interfere with race night it would be TG.
My second thought is for our first series, do Sport Classics at 8PM BST, Trans Am at 9PM US Eastern time. These were two very popular series, and intentionally aimed at the British market with Sport Classics and US with Trans Am.
Now I just need our hosting staff to sign onto this, and I'll get the ball rolling with setting up a "Ax4x Racing Series" section of the forum, some advertisement posters, and a schedule.

Trying to get my Friday spot back by promoting Smithy's FM5 classic TCCs to Tuesdays.
I know Warspite wants other ideas used, in my timeslot, but I think I can get the rest of the staff's backing.

Re: TCR ideas
How come people (HCR CRA) can post in the other sites tcr section and 2 weeks later
BAM have a series
I do it and get shot down and told to fill out the tcr form, I fill it out and months later, nothing
Hierarchy much

Re: TCR ideas
So would I. I suggested having it in the first half the year then TASCAR the second
But it'll never happen

Re: TCR ideas
Jordan did his with the Acura on Monday nights but had to cancel it due to only having a couple of people turning up.

Re: TCR ideas
What bugs me most along with this is that if you ask to have a series on a Tuesday for example when nothing else is on they'll turn round and say "you can't have that because it's a TORA race night". TORA is a load of bullshit at the moment.ErebusV8 wrote:How come people (HCR CRA) can post in the other sites tcr section and 2 weeks later

Sorry if I have let you down mate. It seems that I am not the guy to ask to get swift approval, but if you talk Warspite or Trash into it, things get done quick.
With HCR's Twingos, I knew it was a slam dunk: FWD Hatch Spec Cup always gets approval. Morphy's Production GT got rushed in surprisingly quick... then again its just Corvette and Viper, so its much simpler in terms of balance and such.
One key to quick approval is keeping the car list down to a minimum, as TORA Staff worry much about balancing the cars. I was lucky with the Trans Am and Sport Classics, as those series had lots of cars, but the balancing was never brought into question.

Re: TCR ideas
Erebus, you have any relatively simple B or C Class ideas going? We may get it pushed through for the Friday timeslot rather easily.
And Fluffy: don't think of an Ax4x run series at TORA as being a "TORA" series, as I don't run it the way they run the bigger series. Not in any way shape or form.

Re: TCR ideas
If I could I wouldn't mind getting a classic touring car series going on a Thursday.

was great fun when I test some builds out out of interest,VAMR Wilson wrote:F40 spec cup
the 1980s GTO is a great car too, sounds amazing, wouldn't mind getting it as a spec cup car (and maybe get a MM sponsorship for the championship )
Re: TCR ideas
Morphader has Thursdays, and since his is alternate weeks, I've been pushing Bellmond's FM5 V8s for the opposite Thursdays. So, for the time being Thursdays are filled up.
But by the time anything gets going, these will both be long gone.

Re: TCR ideas
I was thinking at work today, and while I intend to bring the R34s and Sierras to Ax4x Club Racing, if I get the go ahead to run another series at TORA, I want to bring back Clubman Cup...
