There has been a bit of discussion here and there about running our own race series. I have some ideas, and I've seen Chaddy does as well... and we all know Bandit is always coming up with some idea or another. I guess what to race should be discussed in this thread.

When to race is the other issue we could discuss in this thread. My work schedule limits me to Mondays and Fridays, and since I have gotten a prime Friday slot at TORA, that leaves me with Monday Nights at 8 or 9PM GMT. Laughing

My personal choice would be the 550 PI Sport Touring cars that have been collecting lots of dust in our garage since about the time Allied Forces was founded. They are fairly equal, have loads of variety to choose from, and feel pretty sporty.

My other option would be Vintage GT Lights... very similar to the Vintage Trans Am, but about half the weight and HP. This is a series that I think may be big at TORA, but I wouldn't mind giving them a few weeks here first to make sure that they are as good as Trans Am.

The Hummer H1 Spec Cup. All upgrades. Use tracks such as Tsukuba, Camino, Iberian, Ladera, and Maple Valley Short.

Mikey could we put up a 2 polls? One with which is the best night for everyone and the 2nd being which time is best. Then we'll make 4/5 ideas and put them to a vote.

Chaddy: Good idea, I will do that.

Bandit: I cannot speak for everyone, but I do not believe that SUVs and Trucks have any place in a road racing sim in the first place. For this reason alone, I refuse to endorse any race or series for them in Forza Motorsport... Horizon, maybe, but not in Motorsport.

Had they added race trucks, such as NASCAR Truck series or the older SCCA Sporttrucks (way cool: S10, Ford Ranger, Jeep Commanche, Toyota Hilux road race series from 1988-1992 or so) I would gladly race them on a regular basis... but 3 ton behemoths belong in the paddock with a trailer attached to the rear bumper.

I hope you don't mind if I don't participate. I imagine it will be a pain in the arse to keep switching from XB1 to X360 so I'm trying to limit my X360 Racing.

... at which time I would like to run the No Assists Series to properly get started on XB1.

Being used to not racing with assists would give a distinct advantage when running in a series that does not allow them, such as TASCAR. And if we as a team can race competitively w/o them, it would just make us look better, or at least give us a great reason to become elitists.
