LeMons 2014
Lets do this.
The Saturday between Christmas and New Year, as this would be about the only race on TORA (or VM) that week.
Multiclass:
C 425 PI, under 200HP
B 500PI, over 2800Lb

Hoping for Pitlane status, but doubt it.

We'd discussed Tsukuba last time this was going to happen. I do think that may maximize the fun factor.

Re: LeMons 2014
Good choice. The last one was fantastic. We need to have at least one van in the race again. What are we thinking in terms of stint times?

Re: LeMons 2014
4x 60min. Start time at either 5P or 6P GMT, thinking 5 would let the race be done early enough even w/delays.

Re: LeMons 2014
that's the 27th
and the last round of the MM Challenge
but screw it
I'll drop a round for this because it's better
Ignore all of that, I just read you might change it to Sunday. If you run it Saturday then I'm more than happy to drop a round
And as long as it's nowhere I can roll I'm in. That was a LONG 2 hours
Re: LeMons 2014
I think it might of been the car choice more than track choice. Like said in the Clubman races if there is a chance you can do this you got to do this. So much fun.

The 28th it is. 4x 1h stints, on Tsukuba.
Tsukuba dry
Tsukuba damp
Tsukuba wet
Tsukuba dry-ish

Re: LeMons 2014
Tested cars for both classes, and it seems about 1-2 sec per lap difference between B Class and C Class.
If some faster guys jump into C Class, they'll be battling mortals in B Class on track.

Re: LeMons 2014
I saw Cowboy's post on track ideas, and would love to do MV, except for rollovers. Flipping seems to really discourage people from finishing, and I'd hate to see a much diminished field at the end of this.
I still prefer Tsukuba, and I guess we could just as well stick with Road Atlanta as in the two previous runs... what about Mugello? That would give it a very different feel and may allow for more upper class overtaking.

What about Le Mans or would that be too long?

Re: LeMons 2014
Motegi East seam like a good suggestion. MV he did mention respect must be give to the curbs. It funny that Erebus like this track. What about Sedona Club R

Re: LeMons 2014
Club R is great but the chicane being the first braking point causes incidents
so club normal would work better I think

Re: LeMons 2014
I'm afraid Sedona would chase off half the potential entries. Lots of hate for that circuit within TORA. MV Full would do the same thing by the end of the race, as people tend to quit after a few rolls.
The more I think about it, the more I like Tsukuba for this, as it's short enough to feel like the sort of circuit they would use for an actual LeMons event.
Or, to be most authentic... Infineon Indy is a circuit that actually sees an annual LeMons race. It is my least favorite version of Infineon, but the fact it gets LeMons races does give it a huge plus from me.

Re: LeMons 2014
I am thinking Tsukuba because always in traffic or battles due to short laps, Infineon or Sebring, as those circuits see actual LeMons races, or Mugello Full, as that track becomes epic in lower class cars and has one of the better pit lanes.

Re: LeMons 2014
Infineon would be great, roll city, but the IRL is never ran
I think the last round of F40s was the only or the second TORA race there

Re: LeMons 2014
If we go with Infineon, I'd rather use Full circuit.

Re: LeMons 2014
After discussing all the options with TORA Staff, Sebring was chosen because
1) LeMons races there
2) Possible loss of the TORA 12H of Sebring due to PCar delay
3) Maximizes speed differential between the two classes
