Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
The Sierra was one of the reasons I Bought Forza 4. Love that car. Erebus count me in. I think Kilroy is Qualfying the Commodore during NAFFCARS good luck buddy. The top ten shoot out is on 10pm Gmt hope he makes that.
PS after the day I had I think I need a Coopers.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I had our last coopers with lunch the other day with dad
all we had left were crown lagers from my 18th and they were bleh
coopers are my favourite, they're a south australian beer, and I'm a south australian, dad brought me up with them (just in the house generally not giving them to me from like 4 years old ahah) same with his 70s and 80s rock
do you want me to have a crack at the coopers clear paint broom?
or do you want to do a better job at it?

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I hope that I don't have to hurry off after NAFFCar, as I'd like to give them a spin, to see if they race together as well as the drive alone.
And to give you guys a glimpse of my Holden HRT Ute

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
Just built one myself, 499 HP, 3101 lbs. Can't remember what PI it was, but couldn't say it was real easy to drive. Might have been the setup, but the car was really sluggish and didn't like direction change. (Or maybe just me after having driven the Peugeot spec car... )
An MX5 cup is of course a classic. Real life and in sim racing.
Personally I'm a big fan of the Skylines. Especially the R32 (GT-R). Can still remember when they whipped Ford and Holdens a*s in Australia back in '90 to '92... (Man, I must be getting old.)

I hope top remember to post a couple Utes in the club garage. I've got four or five of them, each with a slightly different build.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I wish I could've stuck around to get a Ute test session in after the NAFFCar race. I did remember to get a couple Utes into the team garage for testing and practice, as well as grins and giggles.
The vehicle may take some convincing for some, but I reckon it is fun to drive, thus should be hella fun to race.

I have a build that is 498 BHP 545 PI and 3147 lbs with Stock rim size. Now the only thing missing is a Sponsor.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I posted up the other "Pro Cup" cars in the team garage: R34 Skyline and Twingo Sport.
Feel free to test and evaluate any of them. While all three are very different, at three different PI Classes, all three feel like proper racers.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
Just tried both the R34 and the Twingo. I LOVE the sound of the Nissan. Drove it round Road Atlanta which was lot's of fun when kept clean, but boy does it bite when you get it wrong!
Drove the Twingo round Catalunya Nat. Quite an easy car to drive. To be totally honest, not really anything special. It could work as a FWD spec cup car.
Still have to grab one of the Utes... Most of the afternoon was spent tweaking and tuning the Celica for Sedona...

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
The Twingo... it would be the last of the three to get run. My thought is that it would be somewhat similar to NAFFCar come race day. And if it races like NAFFCar, racing it will be much more fun than just driving it.
But as I said, it would be tough to find three less similar production based cars to race than the El Camino, R34, and Twingo.

I could do the Base Design, but not the Sponsor, that cars livery hurts my eyes. But thanks for the idea Bradley.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I forgot to put it in the garage... thats all.It probably has a better shot at making it than the Twingo, as I know that the Sierra has a huge fanbase, like the Skyline does.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
ok Broom, ths is what i have so far for the coopers clear car:
issue is I'm having trouble with the clear logo, would you be able to have a shot?
also when I send the paint the coopers logos wont send being locked so you'll have to do them too, but for that I can just send you what colours and sizes etc for it

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I'm thinking that I want to make a series sticker for this based off V8 Supercars' logo. I am trying to play up the "Ute" part, while playing down the "El Camino" itself.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I'm thinking that I want to start dropping hints about "Pro Cup" coming in April to build up interest and for a bit of suspense, I don't want to let in what vehicle we are using just yet.
We know that the El Camino can be built into a proper racer, but I am less than certain that TORA's general population will believe it.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
I'm not quite ready to let TORA know just what the first Pro Cup series' car will be just yet... but Erebus, your AC/DC Sebring video was superb, and got me thinking...
How about a V8SC Ute compilation video, set to "Release the Panic" by RED. The type of video I am thinking of would be a quick 3min montage of intense race footage, with some wrecks or other "wow!" moments, with a fade to black at the end with the words "It's Coming: TCR Ute Pro Cup" at the end.
The song of choice is a bit of the Metalcore genre, which would be a good fit for the series in my opinion. May not be everyone's cup of tea, but I am looking for intense footage with an intense soundtrack.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup
^ I was thinking actual Real World Australian Ute Race footage, with maybe a "pan around" on the TORA version at the end.
