Cheers Mikey.  Very Happy

Despite the complete lack of power I think these will give some great racing, just like the Golfs in the first Spec Cup last year.
I've tried a few out and have got a Golf Mk2 that weighs just over 2100lbs, it's really fun around the corners but it's not as competitive as some of the others I've built.

I hope today's test was fun and went well. I sent some Del Sol tunes over to Paul, and now I cannot remember if I also sent them to Chaddy.  Embarassed

I tried some alternate builds on a few cars tonight. Found some great oval lap times in the 1994 Civic, and some uncontrollable speed in the CR-X. I guess that gives reason to give both another look on the rest of the schedule's circuits.

Chaddy, the Celica is epic fast on the oval, but I now have a Honda that can draft with it. And it seems that Hurricane and Broomzke found something in the Mazda that I may have missed, as their entry is fast on the roundy rounds as well.

What seems to be a good time for Sunset? I seem to remember at home last week I was getting 1:50.7 in the Mazda and 1:51.2 in the Celica. Although I'm only getting 1:54's now practicing at work, although I played a lot with the upgrades and might have gone completely the wrong direction... Very Happy

My best was a very low 1:50 in the Del Sol.

Registration thread opens in less than an hour. Seeing as I am still unsure of our car, I will wait until we have a consensus to post our entry.

The reason for the delay in opening the registration thread was car selection rules. I wanted the "no car used twice" rule, but was met less than enthusiastically with that idea. So I went the opposite: NO CAR CHANGES at all. I wanted to get AMR Garage's approval on that, as it is technically his series that I am running.

Paul, we need a good team name for this. If we use a Mexican themed livery (Jarritos soft drinks?) we could be iAx4x Amigos! Or we could just go with Ax4x Warriors?

I had already said Full in the discussion thread, as it balances the cars out better, otherwise the speed cars will discourage everyone else.

I sorta wish I had said Club, as I have always been rather successful on that layout, and tend to struggle with Full.

His car of choice is the 1999 Civic Coupe, which is a rather versatile car. It can be built into a speed or grip car rather easily.

The Focus was one car I couldn't get up to pace anywhere, along with the Hyundai. Shockingly slow.
