Tracks? I need to decide pretty soon...

Defo: Laguna Seca, Infineon Full, Road Atlanta Full, Maple Valley Full (either direction)
Possible: Road America (still a bit bored by it after the 12H though) Mugello (I like the flow of it, especially in high speed cars) Suzuka (either East or West, but I am tired of Full) Sebring, Sunset Club

Or... should I just go with the "three variants of one venue" format? Infineon (NASCAR, IRL, Full) Sebring (Short, Club, Full)
Motegi (East, West Full) Hockenheim (National, International, GP
Maple Valley (Club, Full, Full Reverse)

Depends how many rounds we're doing. I think the same track different variants would get a little boring. You should keep Laguna Seca, Infineon Full, Road Atlanta Full, Maple Valley Full (either direction) for definite. As damage is cosmetic therefore we don't need a pitlane, this would be a great opportunity to run Suzuka West (that is the one with more than 6 turns, right?). Sunset should run. The curbs are awesome & challenging. Probably a long shot, but I'd quite like to see Camino Extreme as well Smile

Now I remember why the three variants worked so well in GT300, but won't here: tuning. If in default trim, w/o tuning, three tracks are great for variety. With tuning, three variants means more tuning required. So, single variants per meet would be best.

I want to stick with 4-5 rounds, so the track choice is limited, but any more than that ends up chasing some off by the end of the series. Agree with Suzuka West, as cosmetic damage opens up the opportunity to use that version.

But... I hate Camino Extreme, so don't expect that one. T10 dropped the ball when they designed run-off areas that funnel wrecks back into the racing line. It makes for too many temper flares.

Will you be allowing tuning? Or just the upgrades to get up to X?

Tuning is allowed. If in doubt go buy Storefront tunes.

I wanted to do LMP sprint races and ended up with 999 PI before the cars were close to balanced.

^ Me too... after buying four of them.

I reconsiderd all the tracks, and came up with five old school American circuits:

Laguna Seca
Infineon Full
Road Atlanta
Road America
Sebring

They weren't all used in the real Can Am series of the 1960s/70s, but they were at least around back then. I feel this will help with the realism.

Anyone recommend any good storefronts for can am tunes?

Likely not have time to paint the thing much if we need our own numbers and tora logos but I will get them on it at least Smile

I believe HMR Motorhead and TpR B0X have some good SF X Class tunes. I've used some of theirs while leaderboarding... which is where I got the idea for the series.

Yes, you can change the rims... as well as any other upgrade it takes to get to 999 PI.

Had a decent opening round for a change, great battles with Matt in the first two races with an epic battle with Bandit in the third.

Sorry to see Kilroy and Dewey struggle... hope that they both get up to pace for the next round at Sebring.

SCHED CHANGE Rd 4-

Indy GP instead of Road America.

I am tired of boring tracks.

Sleep

Not sure if I should even bother with the last two rounds to be honest.

How many turned out at Laguna Seca? I think the cars are just too fast to have a good race, feels like a hot lap session. I hope we make our way back to good ol' fashioned Friday night spec racing.
