Hey Guys, there's a new FM5 series starting up over at XPLR. The series is a stock Viper GTS-R (Racecar). seems there are also DLC codes and Official SRT merchandise available to lucky winners.

there is a far better explanation of everything here http://www.xboxproleagueracing.com/f142-xplr-viper-cup-presented-by-srt-motorsports

there are only 5 rounds (1 of which is a test event) and runs through March.

I have entered the series and have so far painted something which is a bit of a cop out as I have used shared logos and not done them myself, although I am toying with doing another paint with a logo I've been planning to do myself as I love the branding.

Calendar:
Saturdays 2pm EST/7pm GMT Qualy, 3pm EST/8pm GMT Race, hopefully done by 4:30pm EST/9:30pm GMT.

Sebring Full March 1 (TEST, but still counts towards draw)
Road America Full March 8 (Start of points paying races)
Spa Full March 15
Yas Marina Full March 22
Road Atlanta Full March 29

from the XPLR site, you will have to sign up and pick a race number (you will be directed there by PM once you sign up). Doesn't seem like there are teams in the series, although the SRT virtual teams will be running the same liveries I assume.

also, If you don't like Tuning. XPR Roadrunner (who spends as much time in a Viper as anybody I assume) has kindly offered to put up a setup on Sharefront for me, so I advise anybody who needs it to grab it once its there as I am going to assume that it will be quite good!

unless of course we have tuners here at Allied Forces that are on FM5 (I don't know this)?

Add XPR Roadrunner and XPR Devil (If you haven't already) just to be sure, they will find you that way then if the group doesn't accept.

I sent XOverdrive99x a message telling him that if he needs a livery, he should send Broom, Hurricane or Kilroy an XBL PM, as they are the team painters on FM5. I hope that gets him back into team spirit.

Terrible showing from myself.. Last I must be! Some 3 seconds off my best, had to leave quali for a lap to go to my son and come back and couldn't get a lap together..ended up with a 2:10 something

To put that into perspective..

everybody else in my group, they were all doing 2:05s with a stock Viper! And I've just done a quick test for 3 laps and managed a 2:07.443.

Hopefully will catch up some laces in the race lol

Only thing I have in my favour is that this doesn't count as it is a test round!

How those viper lovers go that quick in them I don't know though!

Pretty bad effort there tonight, ended up 11th and 9th.

Race 1, was doing ok, but rear ended LMR Panamera because he was braking way to easily for corners and I just didn't expect it. Managed to get back upto 11th after pitting.

Race 2, i started 2nd got first place quite quickly then made some really silly errors which let quite a few people through, and then got bumped in turn 17 by somebody trying to pass on the inside. After that had some damage and was about a second a lap slower so not worth the time coming in for 3 laps..

Overall.. Glad it was a test, but need to do better with the next races.

The tune was great.. Just me messing up mate.

Although next round is Road America, so if you could maybe make some small changes for that track it would be great?

I finally broke into 2.09s. The pole sitter did a 2.03. On the plus side first time i did a race without Mr lag on my side. I think I having trouble switching between consoles. Also I seem to be in a bit of a form slump maybe to many late nights or early starts. Another positive my paint was liked. I thought you did better than me Wizard. It was a test night. Did a couple of laps at Road America a 2.16.7.  Cool
